Autumn, which is also known as fall, began on Sunday, September 22. In Canada, autumn is a very distinctive season. The temperature cools down, the leaves on the trees change colour, the days become shorter, and new activities begin. You have got a very busy couple of weeks coming up to welcome the new season.
Thursday Sept. 26 - Wear your Sa-Hali colours (red and blue) for the annual photo and the Terry Fox Run. There's lots of school spirit and it's for a great cause.
Monday Sept. 30 - We are off to Davison Farm in Vernon to celebrate the fall harvest. Make sure to dress in layers to keep warm and to bring a lunch. You may also want a bit of money to spend at their tastry bakery. Meet in front of the school at 8:30 to load the bus.
Friday Oct. 4 - It's hockey season! Make sure to sign up with Marianne if you want to attend the Blazer's game.
